Franz Dickson is clearly one of Nigeria's most admired
vocalists. A singer, songwriter, voice over artiste and voice coach, he's been
active in the Lagos circuit of the Nigerian music industry since the 90s. With
a wealth of experience as a background vocalist for notable Nigerian artistes
like Mike Okri, Alex O, Alex Zitto to mention just a few, he soon became a
favorite voice for most jingle producers in Lagos Nigeria like Tunde Ajijedidun
of Digitrack Studios, Kingsley Ogoro of Klink Studios, Bayo Adepetu of former
Midicorp Studios e.t.c.
His voice has been on major TV and radio stations' identity songs like the NTA 2 Channel 5 signature tune [ he also appeared as a singer on this station's identity song video, titled ' Don't settle for less'] and the Metro 97.7 FM Station's former identity song amongst others. In the 90s he was a member of the R&B group "Down 11 Earth" fondly regarded by some then, as Nigeria's version of 'Boyz 11 Men' . Besides singing, he's done voice overs for numerous major and top brands from Coca Cola , Pepsi to Sprite amongst others. He featured in the first highly rated Kazimba Choir put together by Wale Macauley. In 2004, his first solo single 'DON'T SAY IT'S OVER' became a radio hit and enjoyed an incredible 15 week run on the prestigious 'MTN TOP 10' Chart,

compliments a singer could get. A graduate of Mass Communication, Franz has
also written, performed and produced numerous soundtrack songs and music for a
host of Nigerian Home Videos and TV programmes ; Nemesis1&2, Enemies at
Home, Black Powder, Shameless Romance and the 2011's epic 'A Clap Of Thunder'
