Olomoro telescope forum donates computers and others to Olomoro Comprehensive High School By Ogodo Samuel
A
well equipped computer laboratory has been donated to Olomoro
Comprehensive High School to enhance efficiency and computer literacy
among the young ones.
The Olomoro Telescope Forum made the donation on the 27th
March 2014, on the need to raise awareness for all public secondary
schools in Delta State to ensure that all public secondary schools are
equipped with computer laboratories, thereby promoting computer literacy
among children from poor homes lacking resources to send their children
to private schools with such facilities.
The forum which was formed on the 13th February 2013 as a media internet advocacy and networking group for the purpose
of the community development in consonance with the aims and objectives
of the Olomoro Community Development used the medium to appeal to the
state and local government, Philanthropist and non-governmental
organization for more donations.
The items donated and presented to the school by the forum includes
five brand new HP desk top computers, twenty computers burglary proof,
two imported iron doors with external iron protectors, ceiling, windows,
a generator, and electrical wiring of the laboratory.
The
principal of the school Mr. M.E. lmoto expressed gratitude and
satisfaction to the telescope forum while receiving the items.
